THANKS / ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Many people assisted me during my professional life. It's impossible to name all.
My special thanks here are to : Tatsuto Suzuki, Hans Georg von Schnering, and Reinhard Nesper.

MPI-FKF
I thank all the von Schnering group members of that time, especially the "theory and visualization team": Yuri Grin, Martin Schultheiss, Liliane Schröder, Ulrich Wedig, Waldmann. For supprting me during the writing of my thesis special thanks to: Brendan Gibson, Claude Horstman, Urs Bolle, Peter Jeitschko, Tom Sutto, Mike Harris.

ETH Zurich
All the Nesper group members, and especially those who had to survive working with me in the same office: Stefano Piotto, Christian Mensing, and Marlen Karlen.

Lucerne University of Applied Science and Art
Special thanks to Julie Harboe and especially also to Vivian, who survived the administrative work I provoked, by ordering materials from outside Switzerland, and beeing payed by a project organized via an other University. Sorry about that.

A special thanks to Helen, Nick, and Lu for helping me with the transportation of the models.
I will never forget the face of the customs officials, at the Swiss|German border, when we arrived with the right handed UK car packed full with strange models (and probably also it was not clear, where the driver was sitting). Shortly after the transportation of the models from Zurich to Stuttgart Nick's car broke down. I still feel guilty.
